These years of victory confirm, therefore, that this model of the brand represented in Portugal by Multimoto, is the undisputed leader in its segment, demonstrating how the technology applied in the production of Sportec M7 RR and difficult to reach for other tire manufacturers.

The comparison, published in issue 12/2016 of Motorrad, was carried out with tire sizes 120/70 ZR 17 (front) and 190/55 ZR 17 (rear), applied on the Yamaha YZF - R1 ABS. The six tire models were tested in 3 sessions: circuit, water test and sporty road test. A maximum of 100 points were assigned to each test, with a maximum score of 300 points at stake.

This was the final classification and the respective score:

Metzeler's tire took first place for the entire duration of the sporty road test, was awarded a place in the wet road test and recorded a third best time on the test track, after the Pirelli Diablo Rosso III and Bridgestone Battlax S21 tires.

After the complete evaluation, the Motorrad newspaper considered the tire to be the most balanced and with the best overall performance.

The test took place in France, at the Mireval circuit, owned by the Goodyear Dunlop group and on roads close to the circuit for road tests.
